Step 1: Get Your New Policy
- Shop for a new homeowners insurance policy.
- Send the new policy and invoice to the Insurance Department using one of these methods:

Step 2: Cancel the Old Policy
- After the new policy takes effect, call your previous agent and cancel your old insurance policy.
- Request a refund for any unused premium from your old insurer.

Step 3: Replenish Your Escrow
- When you receive the refund from the old policy, call Customer Service at (877) 350-0350.
- We’ll review your escrow account and let you know how much of the refund should go back into escrow
- We can accept payment over the phone and adjust your monthly mortgage payment accordingly
Important: If you don't call to replenish your escrow, it could cause an escrow shortage and increase your future monthly payments.
